Upcoming Arizona Senior Academy Events Open to the Public

Lectures and concerts continue to be open to the public at the Arizona Senior Academy, 13715 E. Langtry Lane off Old Spanish Trail. Following is the list of several upcoming events. The ASA web site (arizonasenioracademy.org) provides detailed information and additional events that may be scheduled after press time.

Friday, June 3, 11:30 a.m. — Concert, Americana, bluegrass and swing, Nick McBlaine & Log Train (fiddle, guitars & bass).

Friday, June 10, 11:30 a.m. — Concert, Mr.Boogie Woogie, Eric-Jan Overbeek (piano & vocals).

Wednesday, June 15, 2:30 p.m. — Lecture by Rebecca Senf, chief curator for the U of A Center for Creative Photography, discussing her book: Making a Photographer: The Early Work of Ansel Adams.

Friday, June 17, 11:30 a.m. — Concert, McCallion Band, original songs (vocals, guitar, bass and drums).

Monday, June 20, 2:30 p.m. — Lecture by Allen Dart, executive director, Old Pueblo Archaeology Center, “Archaeology’s Deep Time Perspective on Environment and Social Sustainability.”

Friday, June 24, 11:30 a.m. — Concert, True Concord recital, Erika Burkhart (soprano), Alexander Tentser (piano) and Eric Holtan (director).

Friday, July 1, 11:30 a.m. — Concert, Steel Del Sol, steel drum trio, Dave and Christina Walton, Jeff Rodenkirk.
