Desert Skies United Methodist Church has started a new campus in Vail, meeting at the Vail Innovation Center next to Empire High School. We are beginning with an alternate, late afternoon service to try to provide a worship experience for those who are engaged in recreational and other activities on Sunday mornings. We meet at 4:00 PM in an intimate, casual atmosphere with an excellent band, preaching from the Senior Pastor at Desert Skies, and a service that strives to include people of all ages. As a congregation, our emphasis is on missions and creating space to experience God … and to date, we have led the way for community involvement in flood relief, teacher appreciation, and have participated in Vail Family University Resource Fair, Vail Pride Day, and Vail Serves Vail.
Our signature ministry is our first Sunday of the month Messy Church, an interactive, inter-generational worship experience that uses crafts, games, celebration and a meal to engage with a particular religious theme … and it is just plain fun!
