Fall break is over, school is back in session, sports are in full swing and the holidays are just around the corner. Think about making church a part of your life this fall. At Deserts Skies, we care about your whole self … body, mind and spirit, and provide a safe place to explore, be challenged, and develop faith.

Next month, on November 4th at 4:00 PM, Messy Church will return to Desert Skies in Vail with an All Saints Day Celebration!  This is an intergenerational worship service designed to share love for God, to play together as families and friends, and to enjoy a meal together! Crafts, activities, games, drama, music, and food; it’s all there on the first Sunday of the month from November to May.

We are also beginning a “Run for God” program, which prepares people spiritually, physically and mentally to run a 5K race. In this case, we are preparing for the 13th Annual Vail Jingle Trail 5k and Santa’s Little Helper at Cienega High School on December 15th. Meeting after worship each Sunday evening around 5:15, at the Empire High School track, a small group of all ages will meet together to learn how to run … both a running race and a race for life.  We hope you will join us!

We have an ongoing group for young people of all ages excited about exploring the world around them, in light of scripture, tradition, reason and experience, at 5:15 PM every Sunday evening.

As United Methodists, we value open hearts, open minds, and open doors and welcome all people. Questions are encouraged, diversity is celebrated, and we see our mission as preparing people to serve and love in the world.
