Along Colossal Cave Road, positioned between two railroad crossings, stands a property that is bustling with an energy all its own. Step inside the doors of ReSources Vail Food Bank or Vail Depot Thrift Store and you’ll see what I mean.

ReSources volunteers and staff members are working to serve their community. They are cleaning and sorting the abundance of donated goods to be sold in the Vail Depot Thrift Store. They are sorting, inspecting, storing, and distributing the daily donations of food from various vendors and the community in general. Meanwhile, ReSources directors are at work behind the scenes to coordinate schedules, manage operations, and ensure that every dollar and every donation is best utilized to meet the needs of the community. The end result is evident. Two successful businesses with one mutual goal; to serve. Neighbors helping Neighbors.

Thank you for putting your faith in ReSources with your dollars in the form of straight monetary donations, monthly recurring donations and the Arizona Tax Credit. I can’t express our gratitude for the faith that you’ve shown in our effort; simply, there are not enough words.

I offer you heartfelt thanks from our staff members, Leida Robinson, Nadia Fletcher and Ellie Beaubien, and from the board of directors at ReSources: Connie and Bill Plummer, Sandi Smith, Ken Knas, Jen Anderson, Pam Gorecki, Susan Summers, John Carruth and Bob and Linda Long. With your help, we will continue to grow in service to the greater Vail community.

It really does take a village.

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
