Horse Tips

Are you an adult who always wanted to ride as a kid? Want to own a horse but don’t know the first place to start? Want to know if your horse crazy child is really interested enough to buy them a horse? Lessons are the best place to start– but you need to find a professional, well run facility with safety as a focus. You should be required to wear a helmet and boots with heels and long pants.

The horses should be in good health and well trained and the riding instructor should have experience in the field. The tack and equipment should appear to be well cared for.

So where in Southeast Tucson is there such a place? The newly opened Milagro Arabians at 5555 S Melpomene Way off of Drexel and Houghton is home to Mary Campbell Training Center. Mary has many years of experience starting new riders as well as coaching experienced riders at Regional and National horse shows. She also trains horses and manages the breeding program at Milagro Arabians. Mary is also a newly approve judge for the Arabian Horse Association and is active in the local Southern Arizona Arabian Horse Association. Mary’s lesson horses are all experienced show horses with National prizes to their name. Call Mary @ 520–975-2264 for more information.
